With this certification the Inns of Monterey has proven its dedication to environmental stewardship. 

The Green Seal Standard for Hotels and Lodging Properties is one of the most robust environmental standards in the hospitality industry. In order to receive certification, a hotel must meet and adhere to stringent guidelines set out by the standard. These include requirements in waste management, energy efficiency, water conservation, wastewater management and green procurement. Hello to all of my followers…I have been a little MIA lately, due to the craziness of almost completing my Master’s Degree (finally). Just wanted to give you guys a little heads up on the new 2012 blog postings.

 For some, you may only know Portfolio Hotels only by their properties around the United States, but for this coming year we will be taking an inside look on what consists of becoming a management company.

I will be getting the inside scoop from not only the accounting team, but from operations itself. Some say that certain departments are the true core of a company, but within Portfolio we all work together and strive to meet our goals as a team and not just as independent workers.
