06 Mar 2010 Radisson LAX earns a 4 Key Rating

The Radisson located in Los Angeles, California have just set itself above and beyond the basic Radisson hotels out there, in which they joined the Green Key Eco-Rating Program as a member and registered hotel, and is pleased to announce the achievement of a 4-Key rating! A 4 Green Key rating demonstrates that the Radisson LAX has shown national industry leadership and commitment to protecting the environment through wide ranging policies and practices.

I’m sure you are asking what and who is Green Key? I had no clue who they were or what they were all about. Green Key Global provides a voluntary and self-administered rating systems designed to recognize hotels that are committed to improving their environmental and fiscal performance. Based upon the results of a comprehensive audit, member hotels are rated on a scale of 1-5 Green keys, and provided guidance on identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impacts, in which the Radisson was rated a 4!

“We found the Green Key audit to be a wonderful tool in helping us continue to improve our environmental efforts,” said Cindy Boulton, the hotel Area Managing Director. “The system focused on examining the operational practices of all departments, and provided direction for how we can build upon our existing green initiatives.”

Green Key Eco-Rating Program originated in Canada and then expanded and opened its rating system to U.S. lodging establishments, 35 properties in the United States have joined as members, and the Radisson LAX became the 8th property in California to receive a Green Key Rating!

  1. I had to spend a night close to LAX for a flight the next day. We have stayed at the Radisson LAX before but that was because they have the 7 day sleep and fly. This time I only needed a bed. I booked on Expedia and got what I felt was a decent price.
